The 2018 Kia Stinger is a performance beast—with the bold and attractive styling that says it knows it. You can test drive and purchase the new Kia Stinger GT at Bert Ogden Harlingen Kia, and you’ll also be able to check it out at Kia Stinger salons across the country this year. What’s a Stinger saloon? Essentially, it’s a standalone gallery dedicated to this amazing performance sedan, where you will be able to relax and learn more about the new Stinger.
The new Stinger is all about performance, offering up 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque: that’s more than the Audi A7 Sportback and A5 Sportback, Porsche Panamera RWD V6, BMW 440i Gran Coupe and 640i Gran Coupe, and Lexus GS 350. More power means more speed when it comes to the Stinger, which can hit 60 miles an hour from a dead stop in just 4.7 seconds, faster than the six aforementioned models, some of which are a full second behind.
Drivers can use the Drive Mode Select to choose among various driving modes: Smart, Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Custom.
Other key technologies in the new 2018 Kia Stinger GT include the 15-speaker Harman/Kardon® Premium Sound System with Clari-Fy™, UVO Connectivity with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, and Kia Drive Wise, which features drive-assist systems such as Driver Attention Warning (DAW) and Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW).
Assisting those Kia Drive Wise safety technologies are the reinforced frame with Advanced High-Strength Steel (AHSS) and hot-stamped panels, as well as technologies like Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), the Antilock Braking System (ABS), the Traction Control System (TCS), and Cornering Brake Control (CBC).
The interior of the 2018 Stinger is marked by premium materials and a comfort-focused design. Popular features include the available ultra-soft Nappa leather and the circular spoked air vents.
When Kia originally announced the Stinger GT, there were some doubts as to whether it would be able to compete with the more established luxury sports car brands. Now that it has had a chance to prove what it can do, these doubts have been dispelled: the Stinger GT is the real deal.
