Powertrains & Performance
The 2019 Kia Soul EV is motivated by a 360-volt permanent magnet AC synchronous motor with a 30 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery that delivers 109 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. More importantly, this engine enables 124 MPGe in the city, 93 MPGe on the highway, and 108 MPGe combined.* All Soul EV models come standard with the industry’s fastest charge port, the DC Fast Charge. This supplies an 80-percent charge in just 30 minutes. With the 240-volt charger, you can fully charge the Soul EV in 4-5 hours.
The interior of the new Kia Soul EV is spacious. With the 60/40 split-folding rear seats, you can unlock up to 49.5 cubic feet of cargo volume. The Soul EV’s interior emulates the SUV’s earth-friendly powertrain with equally earth-friendly bio-based materials, such as plastics made from plants, and fewer volatile organic compounds for improved air quality. Interior features include a heated steering wheel, available leather seating, and an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.
For enhanced safety, the 2019 Soul EV boasts all the ordinary tech, like advanced seat belts, brakes, tires, and airbags. But the Soul EV also includes driver-assist features, like a Traction Control System, Vehicle Stability Management, and Electronic Stability Control. For safer parking, the 2019 Kia Soul EV also includes DriveWise driver-assist technology such as the standard Rear-Camera Display and available front and rear Parking Assist.
