2021 Kia Seltos Performance | Harlingen, TX
Young families and adventurous thrill seekers alike gravitate toward the 2021 Kia Seltos, a brand new compact SUV entering the Kia lineup. Families love the Kia Seltos thanks to its reliable performance and suite of safety technologies while those seeking thrills — whether on foot, by bike, or on boat — enjoy the versatile cargo space and the raw power of the engine.
The 2021 Kia Seltos is available with one of two engines. Which one is right for your lifestyle?
2.0-liter four-cylinder engine
Under the hood of 2021 Seltos LX, S, and EX models lurks a dependable 2.0-liter dual overhead camshaft 16-valve in-line four-cylinder engine. The four-cylinder engine, which generates a peppy 146 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, partners with an intelligent variable transmission that allows for smooth shifting and efficient driving.
As a buyer, you will have to choose whether you want all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. Dynamax™ all-wheel drive, for improved traction, is the standard and only platform for LX and EX variants of the Seltos. When going with the S trim, you can choose from front-wheel drive (standard) and all-wheel drive (an upgrade).
With front-wheel drive and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder, the Kia Seltos earns 29 mpg in the city, 34 on the highway, and 31 combined.* All-wheel drive models decrease to 27 mpg in the city, 31 on the highway, and 29 combined.*
1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with turbocharger
The 2021 Kia Seltos S Turbo and SX Turbo models derive their power from a 1.6-liter dual overhead camshaft 16-valve in-line four-cylinder engine with a turbocharger. The engine, paired with a seven-speed quick-shift DTC automatic transmission, delivers 175 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Dynamax™ all-wheel-drive is the name of the game, resulting in a fuel rating of 25 mpg in the city, 30 on the highway, and 27 combined.*
All models include Torque Vectoring Corner Control for improved performance
Comfort and convenience never take a backseat in the 2021 Kia Seltos. Among its standard features are steering-wheel mounted controls, front and rear door bottle holders, and a rear-camera display.
